Searching for Coherence on the Pale Blue Dot

There is intelligent life on planet earth, third planet from the sun.

There are sentient creatures here.
They worship a God who is creator, redeemer and sustainer of all things.

They have meaningful relationships.
For some, being with their sisters makes them feel closer to God.

Their love transcends generations and biology.

They befriend other life forms.

They have a sense of art and beauty and wonder where they got it.

As I park my car at the hospital, my side mirror reveals that I am not alone.
A visitor falls from the sky in hopes that compressing time will preserve life.

The same sky covers us all.

This is what soccer practice looks like under the sun.

There may be nothing new under the sun, but
all things are made new under the Son.

It is stated that there may be multiple universes (the multiverse).
That sounds pretty big, and makes me feel pretty small.
I used to look at the ocean and feel small.
Then I looked at the stars and felt smaller.

This our planet from outer space.
I live in Virginia under those fluffy white clouds.

This is our planet viewed from the Mars rover.

That little dot is our planet, viewed from the Cassini spacecraft
near the rings of Saturn (over 900 million miles away).

The pale blue dot (upper left) is planet earth viewed from
Voyager 1 as it left our solar system to venture into the edge of the
heliosphere and venture into deep space (whatever that may be).

No need to worry.
How big a deal can it be?

Photo Abduction Mama Martha Style (Return to the Beach)

My in-laws, Will and Martha Hays, came to help out while
Susan took Jacob back to Minnesota. Cousin Rebekah came also.

While here, Mama Martha took a few photos.
When I abducted her SD card, I was delighted
to find many other photos, many from the beach.

Enjoy!
