Return to the Forest
After a great beach vacation, the Thompsons returned to 10 acres of forest in
sunny Mechanicsville, VA (a rural suburb of Richmond) where life returned to
normal.
Hannah discovered a talent for holding spoons with her maxilla.
All the plants and animals were in excellent shape, thanks to Emily Payne.
Grant White came over for some chocolate ice cream (and he also got to see Hannah).
Dad returned to work and then returned home with a smile.
Don't be afraid, Samuel.
Daddy only looks crazy.
Sophie made faces, just for fun.
Annabelle, too!
Let me out of this jail!
Hannah painted her sisters' fingernails.
Noah and Jacob took the dog out to a fancy restaurant (tie required).
Pretty much the usual here.

Inspecting for Absurdity
The Chief Inspector was on a search for eccentricity, absurdity, and impracticability.
She hit the motherlode.
This man was teetering on the edge of insanity.
His counterweight was equally unstable of faculties.
Eventually, they came into equilibrium.
Well, almost.
For a brief period, he had both feet in the ground.
Then some of his peers encouraged him to soar higher.
They cheered!
They encouraged.
They annoyed.
And he rose to his feet with a new since of balance and purpose.
The boy found his place.
Then the peers disappeared.
All that was left were these artifacts.
