Susan took Jacob back to Minneapolis for his 2 year post-transplant check-up.

Samuel went with Susan and Sophie to Philadelphia for Sophie's check-up at Shriners.

They apparently hijacked a bus on the way!

Noah stayed home and kept me company watching Germany win the World Cup

Joshua, Hannah, Zarina, and 80 others from the Reveille United Methodist Church

 went to Oklahoma City for 10 days and helped repair houses devastated by tornadoes.

They also did a choir tour there and took 1 day off to visit Frontier City.

and life goes on...

Big Balloons and Blue Birds

The cashier at the grocery store was so impressed by Samuel's self checkout skills

that they rewarded him with a giant balloon that sang "All Star" by Smash Mouth.

Samuel has been doodling and drawing and journaling in his big orange notebook.

From the kitchen window, a bluebird was perched on the wind chimes, scoping

out the empty bird house hanging nearby. Her boyfriend had told her all about it.

The boy bluebird arrived, confirming the address.

The two agreed that this would be home. We waived the closing costs.
