Hiking the Ridge: Shenandoah Mountain

Winter hiking the ridge trail along Shenandoah Mountain.

The views were pretty fantastic.

Back at the cabin, the pond was frozen over.

The sunlight had a great time bouncing off the icy water.

Icicles clung to the cliffs over the Calfpasture River.

The sun began to set

so we started a fire.

After dusk, we started another fire.

Hannah enjoyed it.

Then she started talking to herself

until there were three of her.

Then we went inside.

And the night faded to gray.
