Jetlagged, Full of Hope

We finally got back to Virginia and the first week back has been quite a transition.

Jackson and mom and dad have been trying to sleep at night and be awake in the daytime.

Of course, this is easier said than done. See Jackson above, asleep on the stairs with his toys.

We got the dogs back from the kennel.

Samuel was excited to meet his new brother!

Chance and Sunny were happy to meet Jackson also.

Fortunately, Jackson was not afraid of these gentle giants.

Sunrise over King's Dominion fills us with hope for a wonderful day.

The dogwood buds fill us with hope for the beauty about to blossom.

The zoom lens gave hope to this Frisbee. Hope for its rescue and future joyous flights!

As it is written:

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, 

Nor have entered into the heart of man 

The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. 

For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

Keep hope alive.

Jeffrey Keith Thompson and Susan Hays Thompson

were united to each other at the Sardis United Methodist Church

The reception was beautiful and the cake was delicious,

especially the chocolate cake baked by the bride!

Subsequently, the happy couple embarked on a honeymoon cruise.

The had fun in the sun with each other.

They wondered what wonders their future would hold.

Christmas, 1988

Keith and Susan are eagerly awaiting the birth of their first child.

New Years Eve, 1989

The family takes a visit to Crested Butte, Colorado.

They wonder what wonders would come into their lives after midnight.

Many years and children later, the happy couple join friends

David and Alicia (taking the photo) LeRoux in the Abacos.

Subsequently, they vacation at the beach during Spring Break

with their six children, 3 boys and 3 boys.

They wonder what wonders lie ahead for them.

The couple grows in their love for God and for one another,

leading them to adopt ten more children, 5 boys and 5 girls,

between 2002 and 2012.

Keith and Susan Thompson give thanks to God

for giving them the strength to wield love's power,

for their marriage and the joy and security it holds,

for their sixteen children and the fullness of life they bring,

and for the unbreakable cords of faith, hope, and love

that bind them all together.

He came that we may have life, and have it abundantly.

They wonder what wonders lie ahead.
